Conventional memory foam is typically made from petroleum-based polyurethane. It responds slowly, can trap heat, and often leaves you feeling like you’re sinking in.

Our patented Beyond Latex® organic foam is made from hevea milk, the natural sap of the rubber tree, along with organic essential oils and natural plant extracts. It offers the pressure relief people love about memory foam, but responds quickly as you move, sleeps cooler, and supports you without that stuck feeling.

Every Essentia mattress is also made to our Beyond Organic® Standard: non-toxic, low-VOC, free of toxic flame retardants, and with no wool or fiber batting where dust mites can nest. Our materials include GOLS-certified organic latex and GOTS-certified organic cotton, which you won’t find in most big-box mattresses.

Our patented Beyond Latex™ organic foam creates a responsive surface that adapts to your body as you move through the night. It contours to your shape to relieve pressure and keep your spine aligned, whether you sleep on your back, side or stomach.

Because the foam adapts to you, the feel is hard to sum up as simply “firm” or “soft.” What you’ll notice is balanced support that molds to your body without the sinking feeling of traditional memory foam.

For the best performance, pair your mattress with a firm, sturdy foundation. A weak bed frame or box spring can change how the foam contours and supports you.

Ninety-one percent of people agree that a comfortable natural organic mattress is vital to a good night’s sleep — but did you know that only 47 percent actually think theirs is good enough? Most people believe a night of good sleep is essential to the quality of life, but the numbers don’t add up. It’s time to take control of your life and start sleeping comfortably. When it comes to Essentia, you’ll find that we have non-toxic, organic latex, and organic foam mattresses that are fit for any lifestyle or body.

When you sleep on an Essentia memory foam mattress, you know you’re getting quality. Made in our GOLS certified organic factory, our memory foam mattresses are natural and organic. Whether you want to sleep on a cloud or prefer extra contour support, we’ve got exactly what you’re looking for.

Because what’s inside is very different.

Essentia uses high-density, certified organic latex and our patented Beyond Latex™ organic foam instead of conventional polyurethane foams, springs and inexpensive fiber fills.

You’re investing in organic materials, durability, pressure relief and posture support, plus, in our Performance Collection, technologies engineered for cooling, recovery and a better sleep environment.

And when you consider how many hours you’ll spend on your mattress, the value looks very different:

8 hours a night × 365 nights × 10 years = 29,200 hours of sleep.

That’s more time than you’ll spend using almost anything else you own. A Grateful Eight Queen at $3,199 works out to less than 90 cents a night over 10 years.

It’s built to. Essentia is engineered for long-term performance.

Many conventional mattresses rely on springs and lower-density foams that gradually lose support and comfort as they age. Essentia uses high-density organic latex-based foams, from 5 to 6.25 lb density compared to the industry’s typical 1.5 to 4 lb, chosen for resilience, support, and durability.

How long any mattress lasts depends on use, care, and the foundation it sits on. So instead of a blanket promise, we point to something measurable: our durability testing showed less than ¼ inch of height loss after testing designed to simulate 10 years of use.

Every qualifying Essentia mattress is also backed by our 20-Year Limited Warranty.

You deserve a sleep surface that ensures you experience the deepest, longest possible REM and Deep Sleep cycles. Essentia is the only mattress proven to accomplish this for its sleepers. To do this, Essentia Beyond Latex™ organic foam mattresses are crafted to eliminate sleep stimulants that disrupt your body’s natural sleep cycles.

Because Canadian regulations don’t require the same flame barrier used in the U.S., mattresses sold in Canada are made without the Kevlar fabric layer. Instead, we use a Bucaneve cotton liner beneath the GOTS-certified organic cover to help protect the mattress from everyday wear and tear.

Essentia is proud to offer an allergy friendly, vegan mattress free of wool or wool padding.

No toxic flame retardants are sprayed or used in our GOLS certified organic factory, in keeping with our Beyond Organic® Standard.

Essentia is a GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard) 3.0 certified facility CU 847578, able to manufacture organic finished goods. Essentia’s mattresses feature a 20-year prorated warranty!

To demonstrate the durability of Essentia’s high-quality mattresses, a 250lb hexagonal roller passes over the mattress 200,000 times, which simulates 10 years of use. What was found is that the Essentia mattress experienced a loss of less than a quarter inch of its original height at the 10-year mark. Based on these results, it’s safe to say you can expect your Essentia to stand the test of time, with the added security of your twenty-year prorated warranty.

Your mattress comes with a 20 year limited warranty. We warranty the first 3 years of your mattress in full! This means that, should there be any issues that fall under the terms of the warranty, you will get a new mattress, and we cover the full replacement value. After the first 3 years, you have an additional 17 years of prorated warranty coverage, with the remaining value issued as store credit toward a new Essentia product of equal or greater value.

We are dedicated to leading the charge with innovative patented technologies that enhance sleep wellness. This means every product we make follows our Beyond Organic standards for high-quality, ethically sourced components handcrafted with care in our GOLS and GOTS certified organic factory. We know our products will perform for you and want you to shop with confidence knowing we stand behind our products.

This is why we offer you a 120-Night Sleep Trial on all Essentia mattresses. This means that from the day you receive the mattress, you have 120 nights to sleep on your mattress and get a great feel for it. In the rare event you choose to return or exchange the mattress, we do arrange to have everything picked up and brought back to us for donation or recycling. Unlike other companies that have you arrange and pay for shipping, there is a nominal 9% fee on the retail price associated with a return or exchange, which is simply deducted from your refund.
